Welcome back everyone!
Where should I start…this week the OCR Club finally started at my middle school site and so far, we have had a great turn-out! Starting this coming week, we will begin training with themed workouts, weight room training sessions, and team runs!!! However, that’s not all that’s happened lately! Today is officially the last day for my Master’s program in Educational Leadership with my admin credentials, tomorrow I interview for the Athletic Director position in my district, and I have been getting back into high gear training.
Today was a perfect day out here in Monterey, California, and my fiance and I hit the trails, alongside the beautiful ocean views to complete the Run for the Elephants virtual race, from the Be Fierce Series from www.runmotivators.com! Each registration to this virtual race gives $3 to The Serengeti Foundation, a non-profit organization which provides funding and assistance to The Elephant Nature Park in Thailand among other animal sanctuaries around the world.
Not only did we run for a good cause, but with my Spartan Beast in about a month, at the Tahoe Spartan World Championships, this was a perfect training run! The air was perfect, the temperature was just right, and once again, the views were spectacular. I am so glad to have these ocean views around the corner from my house, with all the wonderful wildlife and such, which tourists from around the world travel to, to visit each and every year.
I highly recommend/encourage you all to try a Be Fierce Run from Run Motivators, or at least hit the trails in Monterey.
Well until the next entry, remember to never give up and push yourselves each and every day…be a speedster, and keep on running.
