In an attempt to train for Saturday’s Spartan Sprint at Dodger Stadium, I decided I’d do some extra miles tonight and lo and behold, the next thing you know, I had run 6.66 miles! No, I did not plan that out; once I stopped, I checked my watch and that’s what it read.
As Forest Gump once said, “I just felt like running…”
A few extra miles kept going up and up, and before I knew it, the sun had gone and I just kept running.
I felt so powerful and strong, like I could have completed the Spartan right there and then. I could have kept going too, but I also knew I needed to get back home at some point, and so I just turned around and made my way back.
I can’t wait till Saturday, make sure to follow my pace on Facebook (facebook.com/carcrash1015).
